Revoltă în plină criză energetică. Primar PNL: „Oamenii sunt agitați, nervoși și speriați cum nu au fost niciodată”
Vladimir Petruț, the mayor of Cavnic, criticized local authorities' measures to reduce public lighting for energy savings, arguing it shifts the crisis burden onto citizens and jeopardizes safety. He compared public lighting consumption to energy used for large events like the UNTOLD festival and emphasized the need for state support in energy investments. Petruț highlighted his own solar panel system and the delays in payments for energy fed back into the grid, which he believes discourage investments. He also asserted that Romania has sufficient natural resources for energy independence but criticized political leadership for failing to protect these resources. Additionally, he raised concerns about the potability of local water sources, claiming recent evaluations were not properly conducted, leading to public unrest over energy and water issues.
