On Wednesday, Mayor Florin Birta honored 25 couples from Oradea celebrating 50 years of uninterrupted marriage. Among the recipients was Ioan Micu, a former director of a local high school. The mayor praised the couples for their commitment and their positive example for younger generations. Micu recited a poem emphasizing the value of respecting the elderly, reminding the youth that they too will age. Each couple received a diploma, flowers, and a monetary award. The 'Golden Wedding' event continues to accept applications from couples reaching this milestone.
