The survey reveals that 61% of Americans advocate for increased government oversight, with bipartisan support for additional rules. Furthermore, 66% favor laws requiring age verification to prevent access for users under 16. As social media platforms face legal pressures over their impact on minors, Meta is currently involved in lawsuits alleging that its products are designed to foster addiction. Despite concerns, many Americans still view social media as a source of entertainment, with 70% enjoying their time online.
