Rețele Electrice România has invested over 12 million lei in modernizing the 110 kV Azur transformer station in Timișoara, enhancing service quality for over 3,400 customers. The upgrade includes increasing voltage capacity from 10 kV to 20 kV, allowing for higher consumption and improved distribution services. Key activities involved constructing a new 20 kV bus section, installing a new 25 MVA transformer, and replacing 110 kV primary equipment with hybrid technology. The project also included partial building renovations and road repairs, ensuring the station's integration into the urban landscape. This modernization is part of a strategic priority to support community needs and economic development in Timișoara.
