Eleven individuals, including customs officers and border police, were detained by the National Anticorruption Directorate for bribery and influence peddling. They are set to be presented to the Suceava Tribunal for preventive arrest. The accused include customs officials who allegedly accepted bribes to facilitate the illegal transit of goods from Ukraine. Additionally, eight other individuals are under judicial control for similar offenses, with specific obligations to follow. The investigation revealed a network of corruption involving multiple parties, including public officials and private individuals, engaged in bribery and influence peddling activities.
