Reţea de propagandă pro-rusă, destructurată în Macedonia de Nord: „Incita la ură etnică şi naţională”
Authorities in North Macedonia have dismantled a pro-Russian propaganda network that incited ethnic and national hatred through numerous websites. The network was linked to false information targeting sensitive identity conflicts between Macedonians and Bulgarians. A national security investigation has been launched against a Macedonian citizen suspected of maintaining ties with foreign actors behind the propaganda. The false sites aimed to undermine trust in institutions and hinder the country's EU accession process. North Macedonia, a NATO member since 2020, has aligned with EU sanctions against Russia but remains vulnerable to foreign interference and disinformation.
