A network of police officers and driving instructors in Ilfov is under investigation for accepting bribes to manipulate driving exams. The bribes ranged from small gifts for quicker registration to 500 euros for passing practical tests. DNA prosecutors conducted 15 searches in Bucharest and Ilfov, uncovering a scheme where instructors acted as intermediaries between candidates and police. Additionally, payments were made for expedited processing of driving licenses. Authorities are now working to determine the extent of police involvement and the number of drivers affected by these illegal practices.
