Rețea de cenzură la comandă pe YouTube, Facebook și Instagram
A clandestine market for 'commissioned censorship' exploits reporting mechanisms of major platforms to remove journalistic investigations. An investigation revealed that individuals charge between $3,000 and $5,000 to shut down channels. This was discovered after a Georgian publication lost its YouTube channel due to false copyright claims. The investigation shows that this issue is not isolated, affecting other media outlets as well. Experts warn that the abusive use of copyright claims poses a global threat to press freedom and civil society, as it is harder to detect than coordinated disinformation campaigns.
