Seven & i Holdings has decided not to pursue acquiring a stake in Zabka Group, which operates stores in Romania. The company could not reach an agreement with the seller that aligned with its interests. This potential acquisition would have expanded Seven & i's international presence, currently focused on North America and Asia. Despite this setback, Seven & i views Europe as a growth opportunity and will continue to explore options in the region. Zabka operates over 13,000 stores in Poland and Romania, while Seven & i has around 87,000 stores globally, with limited presence in Europe.
