New water consumption restrictions have been implemented in Bihor due to severe drought, affecting 15 localities. Water supply is limited during the night to allow reservoir replenishment. Two companies have been asked to reduce their water usage. Many rivers are at historic lows, with some completely dry, exacerbated by high temperatures and previous dry seasons. The situation is critical, especially on the Crișul Negru river, where water flow is significantly below normal. Authorities are expected to take further measures to manage the drought, including providing drinking water from cisterns.
