Mount Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece and home to ancient Greek gods, has been added to UNESCO's World Heritage list. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized its significance for humanity. The UNESCO committee unanimously recognized the site during its 48th session in Busan, South Korea. Mount Olympus is noted for its rich biodiversity, hosting over 2,000 plant species, including many unique to the area. It attracts numerous tourists interested in Greek mythology, as described by Homer. Other sites added include royal cities in Languedoc and Normandy's landing beaches.
