The National Security Council of Moldova has proposed a state of emergency in the energy and hydrological sectors to ensure rapid intervention during major disruptions. Measures include maintaining alternative energy import routes, particularly with Romania, and preparing plans for various scenarios. Authorities will monitor gas stockpiles and establish emergency reserves of petroleum products. A guide for the public on energy consumption reduction will be developed by November 1. Additionally, measures to enhance the protection of critical energy infrastructure against cyber threats and drones have been approved, with a focus on improving detection and neutralization capabilities. Authorities will also ensure the functionality of water supply and sewage systems during power outages and develop rapid alert solutions for the population.
