Moldova is launching an innovation fund of over 1 million EUR to support startups and tech teams with grants up to 40,000 EUR for developing prototypes and market-ready products. The fund, managed by Moldova Innovation Technology Park, aims to foster projects in AI, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and more, with four funding rounds over 24 months. The initiative targets pre-seed startups and seeks to bridge the gap between ideas and private investment. Initial funding comes from the EU and France, with the goal of enhancing the local tech ecosystem, which has seen significant growth recently. The program also aims to transition from service-based models to product development in the tech sector.
