The Startup Moldova Foundation received an international award for the country's rapidly growing startup ecosystem, recognized as the fastest-growing in Europe. Moldova's score in the Global Startup Ecosystem Index increased by 91.9% from 2025 to 2026, marking the highest growth rate in Europe. The country improved its global ranking by eight places, now at 82nd worldwide and 21st in Eastern Europe. The capital, Chișinău, ranks 464th globally. The ecosystem benefits from favorable regulations, a supportive business environment, and a growing talent pool. Over 300 startups are active, attracting significant investments, and the Moldova Innovation Technology Park offers a simplified tax regime to foster growth.
