Reprezentanții unor firme, dar și responsabili de mediu din Alba, trimiși în judecată pentru poluare și fals în înscrisuri

Two companies from Sebeș, involved in wood processing and chemical industries, have been indicted for air pollution violations. Alongside the company owners, two environmental officials are also facing charges. Investigations revealed that between 2022 and 2023, these firms released excessive amounts of formaldehyde and nitrogen oxides, exceeding environmental permit limits, even in protected areas. The accused allegedly falsified environmental reports to conceal true pollution levels. Additionally, they attempted to manipulate pollution control systems during external inspections. The pollution posed significant risks to local residents and wildlife, with formaldehyde classified as a Group I carcinogen by the WHO.
