The newly inaugurated suspension bridge over the Mureș River in Arad has begun repairs just nine months after opening due to issues with the tartan surface on sidewalks and bike paths. The bridge, costing around 165 million lei, connects Aradul Nou with the city center. Currently, affected areas are being removed, and a technical solution for repairs is awaited. The costs will be covered by the contractor's guarantee, not local budget funds. Residents have expressed dissatisfaction with the bridge's condition, which faced technical difficulties even before its opening. The bridge was opened on December 24, 2025, after several delays and adjustments.
