Renunți la fumat? Care metodă funcționează? Zeci de studii arată că și aceasta are riscurile ei • Newsweek România
A recent study indicates that e-cigarettes may help smokers quit traditional cigarettes more effectively than other methods. However, nicotine addiction and health risks remain significant. The research analyzed 80 randomized controlled trials with nearly 30,000 participants, showing that 8-10% of those using nicotine e-cigarettes succeeded in quitting for at least six months, compared to 6% for traditional nicotine replacement therapies. While e-cigarettes are less harmful than smoking, they are not risk-free. Complete abstinence from nicotine is still the best option for health benefits, as vaping post-quitting diminishes the advantages of total cessation.
