Renault, Evantage Soft, and the Politehnica University of Bucharest have launched the ASPIRE lab, focusing on AI research in the automotive sector. This facility aligns academic research with market needs, allowing real-time testing of theoretical solutions. Located in the Faculty of Automation and Computers, ASPIRE features modern infrastructure for processing large data volumes essential for machine learning in vehicle configuration and industrial optimization. The partnership aims to enhance local R&D capabilities and is part of a broader plan to establish a network of AI labs at the university. The operational model includes applied research programs, doctoral coordination, integration into academic courses, and paid internships.
