Renault amenință că va reduce masiv producția de mașini în Europa dacă UE nu relaxează regulile privind emisiile
Renault plans to cut production in Europe by 300,000 vehicles if the EU does not ease CO2 emission reduction rules. CEO Francois Provost highlighted fierce competition from China and warned of an impending trade war. European automakers are seeking more flexibility regarding emission targets for 2030 and 2035. The EU has proposed allowing limited sales of combustion engine vehicles post-2035, provided emissions are offset. Provost noted that China's market share has surged, making it 30-40% more competitive than Europe. He emphasized the need for Europe to adopt a similar industrial strategy to China's to remain viable.
