Reguli noi pentru închirierea trotinetelor electrice în București: restricții de vârstă și de circulație. Ciucu: „Toată lumea urăște trotinetele, din păcate”

Bucharest's General Council has approved new regulations for electric scooter rentals, raising the minimum rental age to 18, with exceptions for certain license holders. Operators must implement age verification and pay annual fees. Scooters cannot be parked haphazardly and must adhere to designated areas. Riding is restricted to bike lanes or roads with a speed limit of 50 km/h, and users cannot ride on sidewalks or transport passengers. The regulations also include penalties for non-compliance, with fines ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 lei. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu emphasized the need for these rules to address public concerns about scooter usage.
