Starting next year, EU passengers will be allowed an additional cabin bag of up to 7kg for free, alongside a personal item. This change will standardize current varying airline policies, which often charge extra for cabin luggage. From October 23, 2027, travelers can bring a personal item and a cabin bag without additional fees. Airlines must also display the total ticket price, including cabin bag rights, from the beginning of the booking process, facilitating price comparisons for passengers.
