The Ministry of National Defense has updated educational contract rules for military college students starting in the 2026-2027 school year. A new exception allows certain students to avoid repaying maintenance costs if they withdraw from studies for personal reasons. This applies specifically to students under the care of social protection authorities due to court decisions. The changes, published in the Official Gazette, clarify that maintenance costs include food, accommodation, and transportation. The new regulations do not retroactively exempt previous students from these obligations.
