Regizoarea Alina Șerban a câștigat Premiul publicului la Festivalul de Film de la Veneția

The film "I Matter," directed by Alina Șerban, won the Audience Award at the Venice International Film Festival. This Romanian-German-Belgian co-production marks Șerban's directorial debut and features a story about a young Roma woman named Rebeca, who hopes to find stability after leaving a care center. The film includes a diverse cast, including 16 children from local care centers, and was selected for the Venice Spotlight section, highlighting innovative films. Alina Șerban is noted as the first Roma female director to present a feature film at this festival.
