Regiunea autonomă pro-rusă Găgăuzia își va alege bașcanul pe 15 noiembrie

The Central Electoral Commission of Moldova has scheduled elections for the governor of Gagauzia for November 15. This decision coincides with elections for the local parliament. The governor's position became vacant following the conviction of the pro-Russian governor, Evghenia Guțul. According to electoral law, elections must occur within three months of a vacancy. The CEC had previously requested the local parliament to set the election date, but no decision was made. The CEC's recommendation for November 15 was ultimately approved, ensuring a coordinated electoral process.
