Regele Charles, pe noua bancnotă de 20 de dolari a Canadei. Este o premieră în peste 70 de ani

Canada has introduced a new $20 banknote featuring King Charles III, marking the first new monarch on Canadian currency in over 70 years. The note was unveiled by the Bank of Canada, highlighting its vertical design and a tribute to Canada's role in World War II with an image of the Vimy Ridge Memorial. Canada is the first Commonwealth country, outside the UK, to feature the king on banknotes. The design includes floral motifs inspired by the king's environmental dedication and was developed with input from an Indigenous advisory council. The new banknote will enter circulation next year, amid mixed public sentiment regarding ties to the British monarchy.
