The Department for Emergency Situations announced that the Hope Refuge in Șaua Șugărilor is not yet operational due to damage from extreme weather. The structure was affected before its completion, requiring further technical checks and repairs. Access for tourists is prohibited until all safety measures are confirmed. Meanwhile, individuals in distress in the mountainous area are advised to call emergency services. The refuge is part of a project to establish 12 shelters in severe weather-prone areas, equipped with essential amenities for temporary shelter.
