Reforma vamală a UE intră în vigoare. O nouă autoritate și o platformă europeană de date vor înlocui treptat sistemele naționale

The European Union is transitioning to a unified customs system, replacing fragmented national infrastructures with a centralized data platform and a common customs authority. This reform, driven by the rise of e-commerce and low-value imports, aims to streamline customs procedures and reduce administrative burdens. The new EU Customs Code, effective from September 19, 2023, will gradually implement these changes over the coming years, including a temporary customs fee for low-value goods starting in July 2026. The EU Customs Authority will enhance cooperation among member states and manage risks at a European level, with the new data platform expected to be operational by July 2028 for online trade.
