Reforma fiscală în Ungaria: Premierul Peter Magyar impune taxe noi pe marile averi
Hungary's Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced a new wealth tax starting in 2027 for individuals with assets exceeding 1 billion forints. The tax will have two rates: 1% for assets over 1 billion forints and 1.5% for those exceeding 100 billion forints. The taxable base will include all personal assets, with deductions for loans and previously paid property taxes. Additionally, the KATA tax regime for small businesses will be expanded, allowing part-time entrepreneurs and students to participate again, though the monthly KATA tax will increase. Professional athletes will also face changes in their tax limits starting in 2027.
