The Ministry of Finance announced that the 25% reduction in diesel excise will remain in effect until the end of September 2026. This measure aims to alleviate fiscal pressure on fuel prices amid rising international quotations. The excise reduction, initially introduced in September, will continue to be evaluated biweekly based on market conditions. The current effective excise for standard diesel will be 2,103.22 lei per 1,000 liters. The measure is intended to mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs on the economy, particularly in transport and logistics. Fuel prices vary across different stations, with diesel prices ranging from 10.49 to 10.72 lei per liter, while gasoline prices are nearing 10 lei per liter.
