The University of Transylvania in Brașov opened the academic year with around 22,000 students and a focus on academic performance. Rector Ioan Abrudan highlighted the university's rise from 15th to 5th place in national rankings over the past decade, attributing this success to a strategic, entrepreneurial approach and a differentiated salary system for faculty based on measurable performance. The university aims to continue attracting international students and expanding its programs. Additionally, it is investing in infrastructure improvements, including digital transformation projects and new student housing. Support measures for students, especially those in need, will also continue.
