Lucian Pahonțu, directorul SPP, is accused of plagiarizing over 30% of his doctoral thesis, including content from a 1976 security document. His work, which focuses on the protection of important objectives, has been scrutinized for improper citations and lack of source acknowledgment. Despite being published in 2003, the thesis reportedly contains numerous identical fragments from the referenced document without proper attribution. Pahonțu has also authored a book that includes parts of his thesis. Academic experts criticize the citation practices used in his work, emphasizing that proper citation methods have been established for centuries. Recorder attempted to obtain a response from Pahonțu but received no reply.
