The Ministry of Energy has made payments totaling €34.35 million for beneficiaries of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan during the week of September 7-11, 2026, and authorized 10 transfer requests worth €41.89 million. This week marked a record for the ministry in terms of payments processed. The ministry aims to complete all payments to PNRR beneficiaries in the energy sector ahead of the legal deadline of October 31, 2026. Payments made in 2026 have exceeded €290 million, with total payments since the program's inception surpassing €503 million. The PNRR, funded with €21.41 billion, aims to enhance Romania's renewable energy production capacity and modernize energy infrastructure.
