In the first half of 2026, Bucharest's airports recorded a passenger traffic of over 8.45 million, marking a 5.08% increase from the previous year. The operational activity also saw a rise with 68,367 takeoffs and landings, up by 3.37%. The growth is attributed to a strategy focused on attracting new airlines and expanding flight destinations. Henri Coandă Airport surpassed 7.7 million passengers, while Băneasa Airport experienced significant growth, serving 745,674 passengers in just six months. CNAB aims to enhance air traffic development safely by adapting infrastructure to passenger increases.
