Record pe A3: aproape 100 km ar putea fi deschiși în 2026
The Transylvania Highway is set to have a significant year in 2026, with nearly 100 kilometers expected to open if the Chiribiș-Biharia section is completed by December. This 28.55-kilometer segment is currently 80% finished, with over 500 workers and 400 machines on site. The project has seen rapid progress, with 90% of the asphalt laid. If all goes as planned, the A3 will add approximately 97 kilometers of new highway in 2026, bringing Romania's total to 1,430 kilometers of highways. The Chiribiș-Biharia section has faced delays since its inception in 2004, but recent efforts suggest it may open five months ahead of schedule.
