A humanoid robot named Tiangong Ultra set a new record by running 100 meters in 9.39 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, surpassing Usain Bolt's previous record. Tiangong Ultra, developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, won its heat despite a slow start. Another robot, Lightning, finished in 9.47 seconds, also faster than Bolt's time. The event showcases China's advancements in humanoid robotics, with 2,056 robots participating from 666 teams across 16 countries. China views humanoid robotics as a strategic industry, investing heavily in its development.
