In the second quarter of this year, nearly 7,000 new homes were completed in the Bucharest-Ilfov region, marking a 117% increase compared to the same period last year. This quarter saw the highest volume of housing deliveries in the last decade, with almost 10,800 homes finished in the first half of the year, a 53.6% rise year-on-year. Nationally, there was a 30% increase in completed homes, with significant growth in the West and Central regions. SVN Romania forecasts over 20,500 new homes in Bucharest-Ilfov by 2026, an 18.5% increase from last year. Despite a slight decline in residential sales in the first half of 2026, the market remains competitive, necessitating adjustments in business strategies for many projects.
