Record alarmant în oceanele lumii: temperatura apei a ajuns la un nivel fără precedent

Ocean temperatures have reached record highs, influenced by the intensifying El Niño phenomenon, raising concerns for Europe’s coasts and sea levels. July marked the second hottest month globally, with sea surface temperatures averaging 20.96°C, surpassing the previous record. El Niño is expected to strengthen, contributing to extreme weather and rising sea levels due to thermal expansion. Warmer ocean surfaces lead to increased evaporation, intensifying tropical storms and precipitation. The planet is now approximately 1.4°C warmer than in the late 19th century.
