Parents of primary and secondary school students from low-income families can apply for free school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. Applications must be submitted within five days of the school year starting, with a financial threshold set at 2,162.50 lei net per family member based on July 2026 income. Eligible students must be enrolled in state education and come from families whose average monthly net income does not exceed 50% of the national minimum gross salary. Required documents include proof of income and identification. Schools will determine eligible students and distribute supplies by October 1, 2026.
