Parents of students in state primary and secondary education from low-income families can apply for free school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. The program, based on the national initiative "School Supplies," requires a monthly net income per family member of no more than 2,162.50 lei, calculated from July 2026. Eligible students must be enrolled in day classes and meet the income criteria. Applications must be submitted within the first five days of the school year, along with proof of income. The supplies provided vary by grade level and include essential educational materials. Additionally, families may also qualify for a separate educational voucher of 500 lei.
