Recesiunea se accentuează în România! BCR revizuiește în jos prognoza PIB-ului pentru 2026 la -0,7%, față de cea inițială de -0,3% - Economica.net
BCR has revised its economic outlook for Romania, predicting a deeper recession with a GDP contraction of 0.7% for 2026, down from a previous estimate of 0.3%. The economy stagnated in Q2 2026, with a 0.4% year-on-year decline. Investment was the only growth driver, while other components negatively impacted GDP. High inflation is expected to keep real wage growth in negative territory, although a partial relief may occur in the latter half of the year. Strong investment activity is anticipated, supported by EU funds, while net exports are likely to contribute negatively. A recovery in economic growth is projected for 2027, estimated at 2.2%.
