Reactorul 6 de la Kozlodui se oprește pentru aproape două luni. Ce înseamnă pentru România și cum se va vedea în facturi

The planned shutdown of Unit 6 at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant for nearly two months may strain the energy system in the region, including Romania. The reactor, with a capacity of about 1,000 MW, will undergo maintenance starting Thursday and is expected to return by late November. The Intelligent Energy Association warns that Romania might rely more on imports during cold evenings, leading to higher energy prices during peak hours. While Unit 5 continues to operate, its output is contingent on the Danube's water levels. The situation could worsen if neighboring countries also experience high demand simultaneously. Although the shutdown increases pressure on energy reserves, experts do not foresee widespread power outages, but rather a potential rise in electricity costs due to reduced available production.
