Reactorul 2 al Centralei nucleare Cernavodă va fi oprit mâine

Unit 2 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down due to low Danube water levels, starting Thursday morning. The controlled shutdown procedure will take several hours, with the unit expected to be offline by noon. The Ministry of Energy assures that there is no risk of a national blackout, but prolonged shutdowns may impact electricity bills, especially for industrial consumers. The plant contributes about 20% of Romania's electricity production.
