Reactoarele de la Cernavodă: Bușoi cere repornirea urgentă

Cristian Bușoi, state secretary in the Ministry of Energy, highlighted the pressure on Romania's energy system due to the prolonged shutdown of Cernavodă's nuclear reactors. He noted that while the situation has been managed without limiting industrial consumption, the regional energy market remains fragile. The restart of reactors 1 and 2 is crucial, although no specific date can be provided yet. Bușoi emphasized that the shutdown is not linked to any nuclear security incidents and that strict safety procedures are in place. He also discussed the need for investments in energy production, storage, and infrastructure, as well as the importance of natural gas and digital security in the energy sector.
