The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) responded to accusations from former Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, who claimed that the agency is involved in political dealings regarding the formation of a new government. SRI stated that it operates strictly within constitutional and legal boundaries, rejecting Orban's allegations as unfounded and irresponsible. The agency emphasized that its interim leadership is lawful and transparent. Orban suggested that President Nicușor Dan is collaborating with the PSD party to secure support for his presidency, implying that SRI and SPP are involved in these political maneuvers. SRI reiterated its commitment to ensuring national security without engaging in political agreements.
