Minister Dan Neculăescu expressed condolences and highlighted the ongoing rescue operations. He emphasized the escalating threat to maritime navigation due to Russia's aggression against Ukraine and confirmed Romania's coordination with NATO allies for enhanced surveillance capabilities. The attacked vessel, Khoryv, suffered significant damage and capsized after a fire on board, with nine crew members rescued and three missing.
