The safety enhancement works at the Leșu dam have been officially accepted by a technical commission, confirming compliance with the approved project. The investment features modern technical solutions, including a fish ladder and measures for biodiversity protection. The fish ladder, a unique structure in Romania, facilitates aquatic fauna migration. Additionally, floating green islands have been created for natural water filtration and habitat support. The dam's water level has reached 18% capacity after passing its first resistance test. The rehabilitation project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, amounts to over 206 million lei.
