A night raid in the capital revealed numerous vehicles with technical issues, with nearly 40% of inspected cars last year found problematic. Police and RAR inspectors stopped many drivers to check vehicle conditions, leading to fines for illegal modifications and reckless driving. Almost 5,000 cars were deemed a significant danger, particularly due to brake, steering, and suspension issues. A total of 16 fines were issued, amounting to 11,000 lei, including a notable case of a young driver fined for aggressive drifting.
