This decision follows an appeal from the Greenfield Federation, representing local residents who claim the road is their only access point. The reopening will remain in effect until a final decision is made, but no later than September 1, 2028. The Greenfield Federation emphasizes that this ruling is about community safety and protecting residents' rights. Meanwhile, the Bucharest Natural Park Association opposes the decision, arguing that vehicle traffic threatens the forest's integrity and calls for sustainable urban solutions. They have initiated a petition to protect Băneasa Forest, gathering over 30,000 signatures.
