Currently, Ukraine averages over 300 long-range drone strikes per day. Zelensky emphasized the need for the defense industry to ramp up production to meet this new target. He linked this escalation to intensified Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian cities and the increased use of Shahed drones. Zelensky stated that Ukraine must enhance its air campaign and accelerate the production of interceptor drones to counter faster Russian weapons.
