He stated that the country cannot afford to prolong the crisis any further. Tomac, who was initially nominated for the prime minister position by Nicușor Dan, resigned from candidacy earlier this month. He emphasized the need for politicians to prioritize national interests over party interests. The president is set to consult with parliamentary parties next week to discuss potential candidates, including Alexandru Nazare, Sorin Grindeanu, and Leonardo Badea.
